導遊的話: 史邁克牧師 Rev. Michael Stainton

Michael Stainton’s great-great grandparents came to Canada from England in 1833. Michael knows a lot about Canadian history and culture, and loves to tell these stories to people on Dove tours. Michael speaks Mandarin and Taiwanese (as well as English). He is a Ph.D candidate in Anthropology at York University. His dissertation is about religion, ethnic identity and politics among the Tayal people of northern Taiwan. He is an associate of the York Centre for Asian Studies where he has specializes in Taiwan’s politics and organizes Taiwan events. In the 1980’s he was a Presbyterian missionary in Taiwan doing aboriginal community development.
